Yes they don't fly but sit at rest waiting for the sun to rise.  It is a good time to get images of them as they tend to be still for longer =)

What an amazing pic? Great opportunistic shot! To capture the Damselfly alone is good luck, but with such a backdrop... Well done! :clap:

Just happened to be very warm night had seen the damselflies by the lakeside and taken some shots earlier as the started to settle for the evening. Returned later as the moon was out and clear skies, found an place where I could use flash to illuminate the damselfly with the moon in the backdrop. Just luck of circumstance really. :D
